Her business specializes in artisanal wire-wrapped gemstones and “Permanent Jewelry”—high-quality 14K gold-filled and sterling silver chains that are welded seamlessly for a long-lasting, clasp-free fit. Operating as a mobile boutique, Vicki has found a unique market that spans generations, proving that luxury and sentimental jewelry resonate with women from their 20s all the way into their 80s.

Since introducing permanent jewelry, Vicki’s sales have doubled, fueled by her ability to meet customers at boutiques and community events throughout Steuben County. With the support of the Fortitude Fund, she is upgrading to a more streamlined, specialized welding machine to improve her mobile efficiency. Her three-year vision includes adding on-site engraving for instant personalization and eventually transitioning Simply Essential into a full-time venture and local showroom following her retirement from a ten-year career in county government.
