Kyla La Rue

Kyla La Rue founded True Blue to raise awareness about juvenile diabetes and empower children with knowledge that can reduce stigma and promote understanding. Her programs reach elementary school classrooms with engaging activities like diabetes bingo, coloring pages, bookmarks, and even a children’s book she co-authored.

True Blue’s work has already reached over 1,000 students across multiple states, and 10% of profits go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

With her Fortitude Fund grant, Kyla is expanding her Remote Experience Packs, kits that allow teachers anywhere in the U.S. to bring True Blue’s message and activities into their classrooms.
