Idea
Helping local authors cultivate an online presence through freelance writing services.
To go-to authority for local “authorpreneurs”
Gwen Clayton has been a freelance writer and journalist and an independent book publisher since 2012.
With her background in copywriting, editing, journalism, and book publishing, she knows what goes into becoming a successful author and writer – and it’s more than just writing.
In today’s digital age, it’s integral to a writer’s success to be able to have a solid online presence, including a website and social media channels to feature and promote their audiobooks, e-books, and other work.
Through Rivervine Writing Services, Gwen helps local “authorpreneurs” set themselves up for success by creating engaging digital content. She is also a coach to other authors and a moderator for the Facebook group Midwest Authors as Entrepreneurs with the goal of helping local authors find success.
In addition to helping other authors and writers in the area, Gwen has published three books – two of them are part of the Rivervine Trilogy – with a fourth on the way. She was also an editor for Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly and does freelance copywriting for small and local businesses that are not in the publishing industry.
As for the future of Rivervine, Gwen hopes to become the go-to for helping authorpreneurs find success. With an emphasis on improving the region’s quality of life (and books!), Gwen continues to grow in her success.
