Fort Wayne SOUP’s mission is to promote community-based development through crowdfunding, creativity, collaboration, democracy, trust, and fun.
At each SOUP dinner, guests get soup, salad, bread, and a vote. There are four presentations from local Fort Wayne entrepreneurs that range from art, urban agriculture, social justice, social entrepreneurs, education, technology, and more.
Each presenter has four minutes to stand up and share their amazing idea with attendees. Following each presentation, the audience has the opportunity to ask four follow-up questions. After the presentations, audience members are encouraged to discuss and debate over dinner before casting their vote. Audience members vote on which proposal they believe benefits their community the most.
